Ravens Stun Falcons 30-23 in OT: Huntley Stars, Tua Throws Game-Ending Pick in Atlanta Debut

By The Sports Nus Staff | October 12, 2026

Tyler Huntley is not Lamar Jackson. On Sunday night, he did not have to be. Huntley went 24 of 32 for 201 yards and 2 touchdowns with no turnovers, then ran in the 1-yard game-winner in overtime as the Ravens stunned the Falcons 30-23 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. With Jackson sidelined by the ankle, the backup delivered the best start of his career on the biggest stage.

Atlanta led 23-15 with 2:31 left in regulation and had every reason to believe the game was over. Then Huntley engineered a 6-play, 71-yard drive: a 7-yard touchdown to Devontez Walker with 40 seconds left, followed by Derrick Henry bulling in the tying 2-point conversion on a direct snap. In overtime, Huntley needed one drive. He took it himself from a yard out.

Henry was a monster all night: 24 carries for 102 yards, an 18-yard touchdown catch, and the conversion that forced overtime. The Falcons, meanwhile, lived a nightmare in the fourth quarter. Michael Penix Jr. went 19 of 32 for 240 yards and a touchdown, but he was sacked with 27 seconds left in regulation, suffered a rib injury, and did not return. Enter Tua Tagovailoa, making his Falcons debut in his first season with Atlanta. He completed his first two passes for 34 yards. His third was intercepted by Kyle Hamilton in overtime to end it.

Drake London did everything he could: 7 catches for 118 yards. It was not enough. The Ravens are 4-1 and alone atop the AFC North. The Falcons fall to 2-3, and Kevin Stefanski has a quarterback question that nobody wanted in October.

What it means

Baltimore just won a road overtime game with its backup quarterback. That is the kind of win that defines a season. Huntley was flawless when it mattered and Henry remains the most punishing closer in football. For Atlanta, the Penix rib injury is the story now. If he misses time, the Falcons are turning to Tua, whose debut ended with the worst possible throw at the worst possible moment.
