Role
McConnell runs Indiana's second unit as the backup point guard. He averaged 9.4 points and 5.1 assists last season on 53.8 percent shooting, a pest on both ends. His energy changes games; his mid-range craft closes them.
How he got here
McConnell went undrafted in 2015 out of Arizona. He is in his 11th NBA season and a Pacers staple off the bench.
