Role
Sasser is a rotation guard for Dallas, projected as a backcourt reserve behind Kyrie Irving. He gives the Mavericks a steady secondary ball-handler who can run the second unit. His job is simple: take care of the ball and keep the offense organized when Irving sits.
How he got here
Memphis drafted Sasser 25th overall in 2023 out of Houston. Dallas acquired him via trade in the 2026 offseason, adding him to a remade backcourt around Irving and Cooper Flagg.
