Role
Fears is a rotation guard for New Orleans, the seventh overall pick with real star potential. He was inefficient as most rookie guards are, but his shiftiness and shot-making stand out. The Mathurin signing complicates his path, but the talent is obvious.
How he got here
New Orleans drafted Fears seventh overall in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Oklahoma. The Pelicans hold team options for 2027 and 2028.
