Role
Lively is Dallas's projected starting center, back after a foot injury limited him to seven games last season. When healthy he is a lob-catching, shot-blocking presence who unlocks the pick-and-roll. His health is one of the biggest swing factors for Dallas.
How he got here
Oklahoma City drafted Lively 12th overall in 2023 out of Duke. He is Dallas's projected starting center for 2026-27, returning from the foot injury that cost him nearly all of last season.
