Role
Boozer is Memphis's projected starting power forward, the third overall pick and the face of the rebuild. He was the safest bet in a loaded draft: strong, skilled, a great passer and rebounder for his size. The Grizzlies are building around him and Edey up front.
How he got here
Memphis drafted Boozer third overall in the 2026 NBA Draft out of Duke and signed him to a multi-year rookie deal, with team options for 2028 and 2029.
