Role

Powell is Chicago's starting shooting guard and the headliner of the 2026 backcourt rebuild. He is coming off his first All-Star season in Miami, where he averaged 21.7 points on 47 percent shooting, and the Bulls signed him to be an instant-offense veteran. At 33 he is the oldest starter on a young roster, which makes his shot-making and steadiness the stabilizing force.

How he got here

Milwaukee drafted Powell 46th overall in 2015 out of UCLA. Chicago signed him to a two-year, $45 million deal in the 2026 offseason after his All-Star campaign with the Heat.
