Role
Claxton anchors the middle as Chicago's starting center after arriving from Brooklyn. He averaged 11.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists last season, and his passing from the elbow fits a motion offense. Rim protection and lob finishing are his calling cards; free-throw shooting (61.6 percent) is the wart.
How he got here
Brooklyn drafted Claxton 31st overall in 2019 out of Georgia. Chicago acquired him in an offseason trade with the Nets, and he wears No. 9 for the Bulls.
The Sports Nus coverage
No stories on Claxton yet. When he makes noise, it lands here and on the Bulls page.
