Role
Wilson opens his rookie season in a developmental role, slotted into limited minutes behind Chicago's wing rotation. At 6-10 with real mobility, he is the classic draft-and-develop swing: the Bulls took him fourth overall for what he can become, not what he is on opening night.
How he got here
Chicago selected Wilson with the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft out of North Carolina and signed him to a multi-year rookie contract on July 3, 2026. The Bulls hold team options for 2028 and 2029 before he reaches restricted free agency in 2030, giving them full control of his early career.
