Tuesday night was a four-game slate and it still delivered three lines that win fantasy weeks. Jayson Tatum scored 40 points and hit the overtime winner as Boston beat Brooklyn 125-124, Karl-Anthony Towns posted 27 points with 20 rebounds as New York beat Detroit 111-97 and Victor Wembanyama went for 29 points with 10 rebounds in just 27 minutes as San Antonio rolled Sacramento 130-103.
If Jayson Tatum is on your roster, his 40-point night with 8 assists and 5 rebounds is why you never sit a star who is finding his form again. Tatum went 18-for-22 from the free throw line, a career high for makes, and he played 42 minutes without turning the ball over. Start him every night. The usage is back and the closing shots are his.
Towns is the other headliner and his line might matter more for managers. He scored 13 of his 27 points in a 37-13 third quarter that flipped the game, and 19 of his points with 11 of his rebounds came after halftime. That is a Start call with confidence, not a bounce-back guess. When a coach challenges a star at halftime and the star answers like that, you ride him into the next game at Chicago.
Wembanyama barely needed a full game to wreck the box score. His 29 points came with 10 rebounds, 5 blocks and 2 steals in 27 minutes, and San Antonio led by 26 at halftime. Start him every night and enjoy the blocks. A center who blocks five shots in 27 minutes changes the defensive categories by himself.
Julian Champagnie is the wire name of the night. The San Antonio wing scored 26 points off the bench and made all eight of his three-pointers in the first half, including six in the second quarter alone. That is a Stream call while the shot is this hot, and an Add call in leagues that reward threes if he gets one more game like it. Bench scorers who shoot 8-for-13 from deep do not stay free for long.
Michael Porter Jr. did his damage in a loss and it still counts the same. He posted 27 points with 12 rebounds for Brooklyn, and Julius Randle added 24 points with 9 rebounds beside him. Porter is a Start call every night on volume and boards alone. A 27 and 12 line from a wing is a category filler, not a fluke.
Luka Doncic closed the night with another monster line in defeat. He scored 41 points with 9 assists and 5 rebounds as Portland beat the Lakers 136-129 in Los Angeles, two nights after his 52-point night at Utah. Start him every night, obviously, but note the pattern for your week: Doncic is now doing it again after a huge night, which is exactly the repeat form the wire rules reward. Austin Reaves added 26 points with 7 assists beside him and stays a Start call too.
So the calls are Start on Tatum, Towns, Wembanyama, Porter and Doncic, and Stream on Champagnie. Wednesday brings a 12-game NBA slate plus World Series Game 5, so set lineups early and check the Knicks injury report before you lock anyone into the second night of their back-to-back at Chicago.
